A lioness open an unlocked car door

Let me in

As you can see, she doesn’t only come out at night!

At an safari in South Africa a lioness used her teeth to open an unlocked car door. As you can tell from the video the family was completely caught off guard by the event.

“Lock the door! Oh my gosh! I didn’t know they could do that,” one of the ladies screams out. As the woman in the backseat quickly closes and locks the door.

See for yourself.

Daddy, he lies because of me

This is a video made by MetLife Hong Kong that I am re-sharing because its meaning touching that feelgood spot inside. As a parent I know that sacrifices I have made to provide what I can for my children.

And reflecting back on my childhood I appreciate and eternally grateful for those my parents made for me. I may have not known it then, or fully understood it later on.

Today its all so clear. “Because my child’s future is worth every sacrifice”.

It’s almost as if for a moment the squirrel is making a statement of who’s watching who

YouTube Down – 500 Internal Server Error

It seems like YouTube is down for the last 30 min’s for me. In all the years I have used it; never once have I experienced this. When I navigate to the site I get the following:

500 Internal Server Error

Sorry, something went wrong.

A team of highly trained monkeys has been dispatched to deal with this situation.

I had reached out to the public community and it seems like many others also are experiencing the same.
After checking this issue, it seems like the mobile app of YouTube is also down.

Watching YouTube Videos with VLC

Did you know that you can watch YouTube videos with VLC Media Player? I recently found out about this after doing some not so simple steps to make this happen and it’s as simple as the YouTube URL of the video itself.

There are many added benefits of watching a YouTube video with VLC, such as streaming it to other network clients, the ability save the video to a local file, take screenshots of video images.

To do this:

  1. Open VLC Media Player
  2. Select Media > Open Network Stream
  3. Under the Network Protocol enter in the YouTube URL of choice ( example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RDDYYu5at8k )
  4. Click Play

Video URL in example: The Hodgetwins

University of New England – Commencement 2013

Today my niece Jessica graduated with her Master Degree from the University of New England, Class of 2013. I only with the rest of friends and family are truly happy with her. I wasn’t able to be there in persons but enjoyed watching live in real time over the internet.

I took the opportunity to use some of my skills to capture the network stream and upload to my YouTube channel to share with the rest of you who may have missed out.

YouTube Does the Harlem Shake

This video has taken me and I guess the world by store and now YouTube.  Yes! YouTube itself is doing it. Simply type Do the Harlem Shake in a YouTube search query. And you will find something very interesting / funny (IMO) done by their crafty developers.

Awesome Work Dudes

Face blurring anonymity: YouTube

Whether you want to share sensitive protest footage without exposing the faces of the activists involved, or your children playing, or if your that girl who wants to put out a almost x rated shake your ass on camera and show off your fantastic body for others to comment on. YouTube is the place to be.

YouTube’s face blurring – a new tool that allows you to obscure faces within videos with the click of a button.  Keep in mind that the blurring isn’t perfect; if the subject turns their face away from the camera or if the camerra tilts sideways the blurring disappears. Also there’s no going back to the original non-blurred faces video so make sure if you do this to save it as a copy on YouTube itself or offline.

YouTube Video Issues in Google Chrome

Recently I have noticed the following issue when I was viewing videos on YouTube with Google Chrome.  All YouTube video’s seem to have this green car added to the top of the video and also look blurry. I also noticed that the color seems to be distorted. The odd thing is that other sites don’t seem to exhibit this issue.

To fix this I did the following:

Right click on the video window > settings  this will take you to the adobe flash player settings. Uncheck “Enable Hardware Acceleration” and click Close

I have noticed that this seems to only happen with older, lower quality videos.
