Tech Short: Windows 10 Network Adapter Properties Causing Crash

Attempting to assign a static IP address to my workstation I encountered an issue causing explorer.exe to crash and restart.  The only message in the event log indicating an error was:

After much searching it seems that an security update KB3074681 introduced a bug which is causing this issue

Removing this and restarting my workstation has resolved the issue. I don’t see me updating this workstations network adapter after this so I will be reapplying the update.
