Do you have a need to release your FiOS IP Address for a new one? There are those times where you just wanted to move to another address. I find myself doing this from time to time. Below you will find some steps to do this and avoid calling the FiOS Support Center to do it for you.
Click on the my network icon
Select network connections from the menu
Select broadband connection (coax) it is possible that the Ethernet
Click settings
Click release
And click apply
Wait a few seconds and then click renew; you may need to wait longer.

Log into your Actiontec Router; mine happens to be the MI424WR-GEN2
Click on the my network icon
Select network connections from the menu

Other methods I am aware of:
Power off router for about two hour to expire the DHCP lease or
Reboot the ONT.
